Why James Hardie?

James Hardie is a multi-billion dollar business started in Australia. James Hardie has pioneered the fiber cement siding industry since the mid 1980’s. 12 Bravo Construction Companies LLC has a close relationship with our James Hardie regional representative.
 
We started offering James Hardie installation since 2016 installing completing 2-3 homes per month. Which gathered the eye of our local suppliers and the James Hardie regional representative. 
 
Many contractors may offer James Hardie but only a select few install it to the recommendations  set by the manufacture. Even fewer contractors can install James Hardie and pass a windstorm certification for your insurance.

James Hardie Best Practices

12 Bravo Construction Companies LLC employs a field operations manager and a project manager that will insure proper installation. If a wind storm certificate is required we will order all necessary engineering inspections. During tear off we look for any damaged or rotten studs. In most cases we are able to fix minor issues at no additional cost. We will ensure  that the maximum allowable spacing between studs is 24″ on center.

Once we complete this process we will install the recommended 7/16″ OSB. This helps reduce waving in the siding once installed. Then we will install the moisture barrier, tape the windows, and put in all recommended flashing. Then the siding goes up. Throughout this process an engineer will stop by on occasions and take the measurements and photos he requires to submit your WPI-8 for the certificate.

When we get the green light from the engineer we will start painting. We will always prime the hardie then paint. This help prevent shadows due to the siding soaking up the paint.

We Got Your Six Warranty

At 12 Bravo Construction Companies LLC our warranties are strait forward. We take great pride in our work and offer competitive warranties out of our own pocket. You don’t need to be an attorney to read our warranties because they didn’t write them! If you maintain you’re siding in accordance with good general maintenance and within manufactures recommendations “We Got Your Six.” (covered)

James Hardie Replacements – 2 year labor and workmanship warranty on all siding replacements. If the caulking cracks we fix it, if the siding falls off we fix it. If was damaged due to weather, house shifting, neglect, or abuse we can nto cover that. However, we will always work with previous customers to insure satisfaction and quality.

Manufactures Warranties – We offer a 2 year labor warranty out of our pocket on manufactures warranties. If they cover it then “We Got Your Six.” We are so confident in our selection of materials that we will back up their product with our own labor warranty.

All of our James Hardie products will be installed according to manufactures recommendations to get you the best warranties. If you have questions about our warranties please do not hesitate to give us a call. If you live in a windstorm area we will order all engineering inspections for your insurance provider. All warranties are at the discretion of the owner of 12 Bravo Construction Companies LLC. Warranties outside of our 2 year standard labor and workmanship warranty is subject to a small deductible of $85 per occurrence. If the manufacture covers the warranty then we will refund the $85 dollar deductible.
